Have you ever wanted to happen something so badly that you would do anything in order to make it happen?
Although the following experience I will share may be so trivial but what the heck, this is my blog. I can say what I want :)
My family plans to visit very soon. A few months before, they mentioned they wanted to watch a Broadway Show and an NBA game in Madison Square Garden. So the task of buying such tickets fell on me.
However, procrastination is such a difficult disease to get rid of. And so weeks have passed but still there was no inclination to purchase the broadway nor the game tickets. Not until my sister asked via text message " Have you purchased the tickets already?" .
Realizing that it was a couple of weeks away that they'll soon be here, I was scrambling for tickets-the cheapest ones the least. Luckily, I found tickets for the broadway sold at a discounted price on line. However, cheap tickets for the basketball game seem to elude me. I sent text messages to my friends inquiring where I could buy cheap tickets for the NBA. And told them I needed to buy them ASAP. " Check -out StubHub.com or razorgator.com", my friend said.
And there it was-the answer to my prayers...6 tickets on the topmost level. Kaching!!! I then purchased it before anyone else grabs it.
Although the tickets were a little bit expensive, I thought it was well worth it to have an NBA experience and a Broadway experience with the family.
My point is if you want it badly enough, MAKE IT HAPPEN! Do whatever it takes to make it happen. This goes for your goals, dreams and aspirations.
Personally, my family's experiences are great examples that gives meaning to this adage by Michael Jordan -" Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen".
