Six years of my stay here in the United States flew by. Blossoming from a younger, naive health professional to a more learned and independent person, I have yet to reach my fullest potential. My birthday was celebrated several times this month, spent with different sets of friends which I have found as I pursued my interests.
I feel blessed to have these friends whom I consider my family here. Having that sense of belongingness with a family eludes any feelings of negativity that comes with being away from my immediate family in the Philippines. Of course, it will never be comparable but it is close to a feeling of being home.
I feel God has guided me all along despite a few struggles in the early months. Looking back, God appeared to weave my life for me to have better opportunities, develop myself and maximize living without any compromise of my values.
My life continues to be an adventure! More to come!
